Alides Hidding
After the first single “Hollywood 7,” the big breakthrough for Alides Hidding followed in the 1980s. With his disco-funk formation the “Time Bandits” he scored several hits in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the dance scene in New York.
The most famous are “I’m specialized in you”, “Listen to the man with the golden Voice”, “Endless Road”, “I’m only shooting love” and “Live it up”.
Alides also wrote for various artists. Since his participation in Best Singers in 2021, Alides gained fame among younger audiences as a singer, writer and solid guitarist.
Alides currently performs with the Time Bandits, with the Nederpop All Stars and in the Nachten van de Nederpop. He can also be booked as a guest with a band or as a tape act with his Bandita ‘s Kelly & Danielle.

Time Bandits
The band Time Bandits made history in the 1980s and has a succession of musicians of which the best known are: Åke Danielson, Peter Smid, Joris Alberda, Dicky Schulte Nordholt, Otto Cooymans, Kim Hayworth and Hugo de Bruin. All are featured in the clips of Specialized in you, Listen to the man with the golden Voice, I’m only shooting love, Live it up and Endless Road. Åke Danielson presented Countdown Australia together with Alides (see videos ‘s). After a long break in the 90’s and the Nillies, Åke joined the band again for 10 years.
Alides who is the frontman, singer, guitarist and also writer of the Time Bandits hits, continued to play continuously in changing lineups. After 45 years, the Time Bandits are still performing live, with Alides surrounding himself with top-level musicians and 2 Bandita ‘s.
